Home Again 

        So I've been missig for a while, but i'm back at it! My youtube channels have had all my attention lately, unfortunatly it has not proved to be so lucrative a venture. At this point my "Vloglife" channel Skip Day, has almost 200 videos and my subscriber count is less than 100. My at home channel Yours Mine Ours, has 19! Lol a whole 19 subscribtions. Things i've tried, but am not good at for 100 please. Either way I continue.

      Recently I added a new video to my "How Does Your Garden Grow" series. I've been doing the gardening thing for about a month, it has proven to be very relaxing. As you see in the link above, I try to record as much as possible. This week we added some potatoes and strawberry's, to the mix next time we will do a little more.

       Taking a looking at the above video, you' see where I' ve taken a more "me" approach to even the more polished types of videos. Not sure if it's my scruffy appearance or my naieveness to the situtuation, but for me the only difference in my videos and thise of others, are the views!   Get me to 1000 is the pledge request given most often. After joining " The Real Women Of Youtube 2" youtube community group, I was able to figure out that most views are based on caddiness and popularity contest won by people whose noses are more brown than anything else on their body. I tried subscriber feed list. I tried promotion minus the tweeting, aswell as just being a faithful watcher and subscriber it doesn't work.....  How do you get your numbers to grow? Watch and learn...#Fail as they day. So I unsubscribed! Lol now if you see me you see me and if you dont, you dont!  Either way viewers check out some my hauls. Exactly, when ever I need to find a quick recipe to try for dinner I head over to Pinterest, click on my Pin-Meal board and get to work!

    Usually through out the week I pin meals to that board whenever I'm searching for something interesting or just passing the time looking for a nice design inspiration.
  The other day I came across a quick meal solution that will knock your socks off! Perfect for a cozy night in, it's Beef Pot Pie!

With a slight variation to the meal plan,I decided to use the cornbread as the top layer instead of Grands Buttermilk Biscuits.

I've actually seen this done a few different ways; flaky grands, the butteremilk, and the cornbread like with cheeseburger pie . 🍴 Being me, I took a few looks around and decided the best and most original idea would be.. Wait for it...Pie Crust!

Thinking... I decided if you take a pie crust from the local grocer, add beef stew and seasonings, and then add puffed pastry to the top in a hashed pattern, then you have the perfect Friday Night Pie!

              ..Instead, I went with the Cornbread.

With a few amendments to the recipe, such as Jiffy Mix cornbread instead of puff pastry. I threw in a couple extra spices and some suger, 

and Vuala!

A Skillet Masterpiece! And I'm glad to say this one actually turned out delicious 😋

     Can't wait to get started! The "sniff" test has been completed and this has to be the freshest scent ever. Pun intended. "Fresh" has to be the nicest aroma of all the in wash scent boosters I've found. Not to mention, it has the prettiest packaging. Mmm... Sea grean and ocean breeze, Nice.

     
    Cleaning is always easier when you have something to look forward to.  With these samples, you simply shake the entire pouch into the washer before adding clothes and press start. ⚠Warning⚠ Do not add these to your liquid despenser or dryer.  But please do add to your sock drawers,scent warmers and candle holders for a new look and design appeal.

    Here to take the place of Starbucks☕ the newest addition to my writing inspiration today is Bound For Glory!

 A Christian Bookstore and Cafe. Not a new find, but a new visit, this quaint and quiet coffee shop has everything a passerby is looking for.

Welcoming, the staff range from the hip and mature!

To the vibrant and full of life.

At first "sniff" I noticed the smell of quiche lingering in the air, as locals lined up to pay for their orders, I snuck a pick of the delightful dish.

                                   Yum!

Cheater? Yep!  Nice to look at, Good to taste! And heavey on the waste, with the calorie count and my diet, I decided not to dine!

Menus here include the 7.5 dollar thick burger with 100% Angus beef! Same quality also, is the 7.5 dollar bunless burger! Lettuce wrap? Don't know, but from the smiling faces around me I can tell everything's all good!

This hole in the wall cafe actually has some of the most popular food in Putnam!  A neighborhood gem, and Soho atmosphere, this place reminds me of the "Friends" set!

 The Tip jar gives "Kudos" to the cheff and leaves behind a little thank you for future visits.

Local meeting spot for Journalists, professionals and religious organizations associated with the Christian faith, we all meet here. Staff members are forth coming and eager to spread info about events and faith based teachings.

Sit for a minute and take in the ambience, melodic music playing in the background, people of all walks and runs in the fore ground, and relaxation on sale. Glad to be here!  Faith, Hope, Love, and Charity! Not to mentiin Grace abound in this establishment.    Nice, with my recent religious experience, I am glad to be here and utilize this positive work environment.

I've been here!

Never actually knowing the meaning of this symbol, my son once made this out of my Love Bangles or fake Cartier bracelets, which ever you want to call them!

It touches my heart now finding this symbol and learning the meaning.  Before this, at the time my son, linking the two bracelets together and forming a fish symbol, asked.

" Mom, do you think god is real? Like do you believe in god?"

Taken a back, I immediately answered yes. I could almost hear screeching in the background as Angels falling to earth would make. Serious.. having a hard time at school and being 13 years old just the fact he made that symbol so unknowingly brings tears to my eyes. Christians are with you! Buy him a book or inquire about the meaning was my immediate thought.

Advised by the librarian I found out that in the earlier days of Christ, believers and missionaries of faith would leave behind this symbol so that followers of Christ would know they'd past by on their journey. Marking the way for their return and opening a door to friendly interactions. "Christians dwell here!"

This week we're trying P&G's Dawn Ultra!

The project we choose to tackle today is a dust job, both dry and wet!

We're cleaning the ceiling fans in the living room. Being that this house is oh, about sixty years old, it accumulate s alot of dust.

With all of the kids around here,I had to be the lucky one to check things out. 

After dry wiping and wet wiping, this is the result! What do you think? Time for a new fan! Nah..not exactly!  In this house the phrase WHY BUY NEW, WHEN YOU CAN RENEW? lends itself to alot of items.

So basically we're busting suds.

And the fuzz is off!

Glad to be threw with that, we add the now clean glass bulb covers back onto our ceiling fan, and vuala! It still works!

As you can see ceiling fans of this age don't exactly hold up to well unless you maintain them. Dawn Ultra helps to fight tuff stains and cut right through layers of dirt, left from the hot  dusty evenings of summer. Giving us that squeaky clean look  we're always looking for, Dawn does best!

 

Cooking With Kids!

So I decided to get cookin today and my cousin and I got started! Today, using a recipe from Pinterest, we made some peanut butter shortbread cookies.

For the first time in a long time I grabbed some ingredients, threw together some dough and made the highlight of my day my cousins smile!

While we were cooking we were sure take advantage of every possible sharing to show you guys just how much fun we had

With pinterest, youtube, and of course you guys! 

      There's nothing like taking the time 

                To spend time with family!

Mixing the dough and playing around with the ingredients was the most fun part for sure. Like a big kid, I always want to be the first one to lick the spoon!  Unfortunately with peanut butter, that's not always the most enjoyable.

Using all the ingrediants from our recipe, we thought for sure they'd be perfect! Sadly.. They were not! No worries we added some Dunkin Hines halloween icing and sprinkles and we were ready to go!

Yummm. Nothing like the sweet taste of success!

Next time we cook meat! Lol. I'm thinking steak?? Who knows. Either way I figure it's well worth the experience!

Hint of Green!

       You guys may have noticed that I have been tweeting alot on my twitter CarliD about how much I love Downey Unstoppables! This week we are all a buzzz with chatter about downey! I'm also excited about the opportunity to test out some new Samsung appliances! If you follow my Google + profile you've probably figured out...Teals my favorite color to try!  It just looks nice! Reminds me of the sea or ocean! As I've stated I am totally in love with water right now and the theme for my new living and dining areas is BEACH 🌴 With a hint of seafoam green here and there. With my shopping adventures it may turn into a flood! Who knows..i find so many things that catch my eye it's hard to decide just which item to set the stage with! However in my laundry area, it's Downey that stands out!  Tune in to Skip Day! In the weeks to come I will be fillming new videos to show just how much I love my new scent!
