Why buy new when you can renew!

Why buy new, When you can renew!
This week we're trying P&G's Dawn Ultra!
The project we choose to tackle today is a dust job, both dry and wet!

We're cleaning the ceiling fans in the living room. Being that this house is oh, about sixty years old, it accumulate s alot of dust.

With all of the kids around here,I had to be the lucky one to check things out.

After dry wiping and wet wiping, this is the result! What do you think? Time for a new fan! Nah..not exactly!  In this house the phrase WHY BUY NEW, WHEN YOU CAN RENEW? lends itself to alot of items.

So basically we're busting suds.
And the fuzz is off!
Glad to be threw with that, we add the now clean glass bulb covers back onto our ceiling fan, and vuala! It still works!

As you can see ceiling fans of this age don't exactly hold up to well unless you maintain them. Dawn Ultra helps to fight tuff stains and cut right through layers of dirt, left from the hot  dusty evenings of summer. Giving us that squeaky clean look  we're always looking for, Dawn does best!

Cooking With Kids!

COOKING WITH KIDS!

So I decided to get cookin today and my cousin and I got started! Today, using a recipe from Pinterest, we made some peanut butter shortbread cookies.

For the first time in a long time I grabbed some ingredients, threw together some dough and made the highlight of my day my cousins smile!

While we were cooking we were sure take advantage of every possible sharing to show you guys just how much fun we had
With pinterest, youtube, and of course you guys!
There's nothing like taking the time
                To spend time with family!
Mixing the dough and playing around with the ingredients was the most fun part for sure. Like a big kid, I always want to be the first one to lick the spoon!  Unfortunately with peanut butter, that's not always the most enjoyable.
Using all the ingrediants from our recipe, we thought for sure they'd be perfect! Sadly.. They were not! No worries we added some Dunkin Hines halloween icing and sprinkles and we were ready to go!
Yummm. Nothing like the sweet taste of success!
Next time we cook meat! Lol. I'm thinking steak?? Who knows. Either way I figure it's well worth the experience!

Reminds me of the sea or ocean! As I've stated I am totally in love with water right now and the theme for my new living and dining areas is BEACH 🌴 With a hint of seafoam green here and there. With my shopping adventures it may turn into a flood! Who knows..i find so many things that catch my eye it's hard to decide just which item to set the stage with! However in my laundry area, it's Downey that stands out!  Tune in to Skip Day! In the weeks to come I will be fillming new videos to show just how much I love my new scent!

                  Skip Day on Etsy!

        Joining Etsy and the annoyances
that come with starting a business.

In the past few weeks I've been online looking at this that and the other trying to establish a unified link between all the things that I want to accomplish this year.
Between setting up websites, monetizing accounts and determining if there is any actual financial benefit to doing so. I have trouble deciding if it's even worth it  without having a backer such as mode or mediavine, you know sites like that which actually pay you to write.
It's been a awful long year so far trying to get started. New years resolution #1 Start an Empire..... FAILED!
Although I am still working on the components of this project it's proving to be more difficult than I expected!
Let's start with my company. A small business based off of the Arise.com self start example, Serenity Virtual Solutions is  proving to be very trying! I set a Hiring Event date for 8-1-18 the most beautiful set of numbers I could think of to represent the start of my new future.  It will happen on that day, but because of Arise's lazy approach to business handling, and I say this with as much dissapointment as you can imagine. I just don't like you!
In 2016 when I first started working on this company, the startup process was pretty easy. Now it's impossible to get them to answer even the simplest of questions.
I notified this company that in October 2017 I experienced a break in and my office computer was stolen by neighbors. Sadly ...this is the state of the times and area we live in. As a result I have chosen to relocate. Being an owner of a company listed with and a vendor of services provided by this company via its platform access point. I expected for this situation to be dealt with in a quick and discreet manor so I could get back to work.  But...No mam! That did not happen. It has been over a year and a half and Arise has daily helped with my descent into almost poverty!
Being deligent I strive to move forward and continue to be consistent in my efforts to rid myself of a bad CPA and gain platform access so that I can again begin to service clients. While in wait however, I've been irritated. And for to long!
Today however...I shop! Different websites and different approaches to handeling the circumstances that I am in.  My new Etsy " Skip Day on Etsy" is going to be a home for Just4Kicks! My shoe sales websites. Having teenagers and loving to stay on top of the new trends that are out, I thought I'd get in on the ground floor providing to consumers the things I enjoy the most. Later in the week I will be going through the steps it took me to get up and moving with Etsy.
Keep in eye out for my sVs logo embossed items such as coffee mug and stationary. My jobs available advertisement, new entries on my blog and youtube, oh!  and don't for get to Follow me! Twitter! @CarliD02098262 Insta!  Carli870 and SkipDay or yoursmineoursyt on Youtube💄

                                       PETS!

Ever wonder why some people have an easier time with pets than others? I do.
In my experience dealing with animals I have always found it very difficult to keep an animal for an extended period of time even though I love them. Very recently I lost a pet that was dear to me. He was or should I say is a pitbull mix breed that I adopted from a local police sponsored adoption event. I do not currently have any photos of him, our beloved cynder has been missing for 2 years now.  It has caused for my family a lot of emotional turmoil being without him.  Being here at  grams house I get so irritated with myself , spending time and watching the kids interact with the animals brightens my day but I can't help but remember cynn. Really  makes me remember how fun it was having our new pup in our home and wonder what he would look like now all grown up.

Cynder puppy was purchased as an inside dog already potty trained. Nicknamed cynn he was the most adorable dog I ever came in contact with. I believe the biggest mistake I ever made with him was moving him from inside to outside living without appropriate housing.  This was due to him being housed in the bathroom overnight over a week long period of time and not quickly being let out for potty breaks . He reverted as in stopped asking to go.⚠Warning! Please don't do that. Also cynn ate a chicken so be careful when intergrating animals who have no natural instinct to deal with eaxh other. The pup above. Ms. Wendy has a caged fence and chain within hed enclosure to keep hef safe on property. Close to what I had invisioned for cynn it appears to be well ventilated and provides shelter from the elements. Unfortunately due to travel and improper supervision on behalf of the adult humans on location my pup was lost.

Ms. Boots pictured above is an example of the typee of dog that fits perfectly in a home busy with people. My dog was alot larger. Comparable to wendy, boots is a type of water dog but we are not sure which. Loved by the whole family she fits in very well inside and leaves veey minimal uhhhh "gifts" on the carpet for us to find.

Amazing 1 liners for 100 please!
He bites!!

Unlike the two larger dogs in the family, the two smaller brown dogs are a force to  be reckoned with. Bingo and Penny the oldest dogs that grams own's are the cutest and just happen to be the most fiesty midgets I've met!
Protecting property must be terribly hard , oh well there's always Midnight the local yard cat stalking around protecting  the house from lizzards, mice and grasshoppers of all kinds. Man, it's a jungle out here.
With so many animals it's a wonder how she keeps them all fed. It's good to have animals around who don't mind fending for themselves on the food front! Dog food, Kit and Kaboodle and table scraps abound in this humble abode. Having so many tiny mouthes around yipping or purring for treats definitely keeps the sware jar on E..and the sailors down the street. Tab! Oh well with the many visitors stopping by and tiny crum snatchers shoving food in their faces at every turn these pampered pupps lack for nothing!

Staycation Station!

Staycation Station!

Had a great time today out and about! It seems like the longer you live in a place the harder it is to remember the charm and excitment that drew you to it in the first place.
The city of Palatka florida that I am from boast a beautiful small atmosphere that I have been proud to call my own for a long time.  From the riverfronts to recreation andhistorical land marks pulled straight from a history book!
Today I visited the railway museum.

Now this station has been prominate in Palatka Fl ssnse 1908. It's not to big, but as something to do it makes a pretty cool adventure for tots of all ages.

Waiting around for any transportation source to arrive can be pretty draining due to layovers and things of that nature, but in this train station we have plenty to do.

Exciting for kids and enthusiast of all ages would be the numerous antique collectible trains from the 1900s and beyond.

While here I was sure to take a few photos of the one's I found most intereating.

Nice! If I could take one of these home to put around my tree at Christmas 🎄 that would be perfect! Imagine how that would look all lit up!

Some of the smaller trains pictured below seem quiet juvenile in appearance, but they are actually quite rare and very valuable.

Just a few more items like the antique typewriter above, placed perfectly to set the stage for a timeless event. A trip dowm memory lane with the clear intent of catching your eye and drawing into a conductors palace. I'll call it that, because it seems just that nice to be in the prescence of some of these magical pieces.
Snippets of the arrival and travel car.

I was even able to sneak on board and capture the moment, thanks to the ticket taker. Amazing I haven't been on a train sense kindergarten! Look at me .....like a kid in candy store I couldn't have been more excited!
